Guptas are well known for their successful association with the country since the past few years and their contribution towards the South African economy. In terms of their work for the country, Capital Investment, Employment generation is not hidden from anyone. But as we say that for every good action, it goes an equal negative reaction upfront and WMC has played that role quite well since they noticed the Guptas evolving on the Political map of the country. The Recent acts by several banks  cutting their financial ties with the Guptas was one of such foul plays in support with WMC with the  sole reason to paralyze the Guptas in terms of their quest for bringing Radical economic transformation to the country.

Moreover, the banks also forget the fact that this will leave thousand of staff working in their Gupta’s owned companies without any livelihood and the step would lead to massive unemployment in the country. As expected, this now has led to massive unrest by the public towards the banks and they are holding protest march to register their opinions across the country.

People can be seen highly annoyed by the recent developments in Gupta vs BoB saga, where the bank announced stepping away from any further financial dealing with the Gupta owned Companies citing “Substantial Business risks” as the main reason. Though, it is quite proven fact that this is nothing beyond a silly move to leave thousand of natives of the country left struggling for their Bread and butter and by watching people’s reaction on the same in the videos surfaced over the social media, it can be said that the “Storm ”seems like taking everyone around into its hold.

Why do banks have the rights to determine the livelihoods of thousands of people based on media propaganda and for the sake of saving their reputation? This is ridiculous.

    • Canisius Thobane

Do they even notice how Rupert keeps blacks as slaves in his estate? No, but they are quick to judge the Guptas – who are better SAns than Rupert and his lot.

    • Graciee

They don’t but all the maligning of the Guptas that wmc has carried out (not to mention their internal arm twisting skills) has resulted in banks being swayed by all the negative press.

      • Seletela Mandla

And innocent people have lost their livelihoods because of this, never forget! A sad day in history

The sad part is, we are still supporting or not raising our voice towards these culprits. We know all this behind are only Whites and their sneaky leaders but we are not saying anything, not doing anything. The truth is God also can never help a person, who is not more interested to help himself. Raise your voice and get your rights!!

They are only concerned about their own reputation in this case. If they do not act against Guptas, Gordhan and Rupert will ensure they are hurt in some or the other.

  • Seletela Mandla

Oakbay and Guptas are the reason these people live and thrive but the monopolists would like all of us to slave under them.

    • Seletela Mandla

“The black majority is locked into a cycle of serving only as cheap labor that is super exploited for the purposes of capital accumulation by a white minority.”

And this is what they want to continue to do. these arrogant capitalists.

      • Canisius Thobane

This statement so true it penetrates deep within my soul.

      • Graciee

When black people are unemployed and without any means of an upheaval, that’s when white people feel safe.

        • Mapula Masilela

It’s 2017 and whites still control the economy of the nation. While blacks keep doing the menial jobs.

    • Canisius Thobane

They just want to maintain the status quo – let blacks remain poor and Rupert and co. prosper.

      • Graciee

Rupert and his team are prospering anyway. Now they are doing it at the expense of the jobs of citizens. How long do we comply with this monopoly?

        • Minkie Bianka

They control most of the wealth of the country and are aspiring for total dominance. I hope a strong ANC comes to power and investigates these culprits.

      • Mapula Masilela

Rupert and the wmc give a rat’s ass for these citizens losing their jobs.

        • Canisius Thobane

They are the ones who have orchestrated it/.

    • Graciee

Regardless of the allegations on the Guptas (about which there is still no evidence), at least they were boosting the employment sector.

    • Minkie Bianka

Rupert wants complete country control. So yeah, needs to eliminate all other businessmen and politicians who do not follow his prescribed tune.

  • Graciee

Baseless allegations from wmc and their shrewd cover ups of their actions have eventually led to the taxpaying black citizens losing their jobs.

    • Minkie Bianka

What a pity! Innocents suffering due to negative allegations on the Gupta companies. All unproven.
