South Africa – Even though repeated attempts were made by the opposition party, President Jacob Zuma has survived a motion of no confidence in his presidency, with all such efforts against him opposition party will never succeed in removing the ruling ANC. They had tried a lot, but they would never defeat the African National congress, the Jubilant Zuma told on vote of no confidence to the supporters who are gathered outside of the National Assembly. He further added that they would never touch the African National Congress, no matter, whether they would like ANC or not. After hearing this, supporters started to chant “Zuma Zuma Zuma” whereas he disparaged opposition parties after staying alive on his 8th vote of no confidence.
Around 198 MPs have voted against the motion of no confidence, while 177 MPs voted supporting the motion and even 9 MPs will remain abstained. By making use of technicalities in the Parliament, opposition believe that they will take away the majority in the African national congress. So Zuma has survived but ANC need to work harder as margin is going down. Speaker Baleka Mbete surprised everyone by announcing a secret ballot. This must have been consulted by Zuma but not the whole ANC members. If otherwise it would be a disasters decision she made. It is clear that it was opposition conspiracy against ZUMA. As it was a secret ballot and so nobody will ever know whose loyalty is with whom but ZUMA survived for now. No one in this country has ever got such a number of votes. If you talk regarding the people who represent the majority in the country, then it is none other than the African National Congress.
Zuma has revealed that the white owned media has tried a lot to portray the African national congress as a declining party with no support. However, the party proved its majority once again to the media. He also said whatever they can talk, write and analyze on the television round the clock, yet the ANC has continued to receive the attention of bigger numbers regardless of white people who had joined hands with the protests executed by the opposition parties against the African national Congress.
